Bill with his wife Melanie were one of the two original families God used to start Wilderness Lake Church (a church plant from 1st Baptist of Wesley Chapel) in January 2011. Bill began his service as one of the first members, then became a deacon, then assistant pastor, then interim pastor, and eventually became the senior pastor. Meanwhile his wife supported and helped Bill in God’s call to start Wilderness Lake Church.
Bill’s heart for Wilderness Lake Church is that it be a church where the Word of God is read, heard, and laid out for church members to examine and apply to their lives. Expository preaching is a method of biblical teaching where the preacher explains and applies a specific passage of Scripture, aiming to present its meaning exactly as it was intended by God. It focuses on the content of the Bible rather than the preacher’s own ideas or style, emphasizing understanding the text within its broader biblical context.
Bill also desires Wilderness Lake Church to be a welcoming true family of God. God’s house is a place for believers to feel secure, know they are loved, be loved and love others. The church may not be able to fix every problem in this world, but with God we can walk through life together. It’s in the church where we feel God’s presence the most.
Bill studied at Trinity Bible college. He is a bi-vocational pastor and assists in running a family business. He has 3 children and 5 grandchildren. He is also involved in weekly ministries at Zephyrhills State Prison and is blessed to be part of the worship team at Wilderness Lake church. He looks forward to an opportunity to meet you in person so that together we can grow in Christ.
Chris Noble is an ordained pastor with a rich background in ministry, heartfelt leadership, and a deep passion for serving the body of Christ. He studied at Fairwood Bible Institute for two years and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Studies from International Seminary.
Chris began his ministry journey as a full-time Youth Pastor in a small church in Wesley Chapel, Florida. He later served as National Assistant Youth Director in Upstate New York and went on to pastor a small church in Hobart, NY for three years. His love for shepherding God’s people brought him back to Wesley Chapel, where he served for 10 years as an Assistant Pastor and another 5 years as Worship Pastor at First Baptist Church.
With a heart for church leadership, Chris developed a deacon training and support program, including a quarterly newsletter focused on best practices and encouragement for church deacons.
Chris is an ordained minister, and even as he transitioned out of full-time pastoral ministry into the business world, he continued to walk faithfully in his calling. He found success in sales while serving at Wilderness Lake Church—contributing on the worship team and assisting in various pastoral roles.
Today, Chris continues to live out his calling as the Director of Community Engagement at the non-profit organization Seniors in Service, where he helps mobilize volunteers, build relationships and shares the love of Christ throughout the community.
Chris is engaged to be married and is a proud father to three grown children who are walking with the Lord. He is also blessed with nine amazing grandchildren.
